General John Stark Replication
Bennington, VT, Manchester, NH, and Stark, NH
2000
Major General John Stark fought with the Continental Army during the American Revolution, and is remembered for his leadership in the Battle of Bennington. This sculpture was inspired by a model originally made by the sculptor John Rogers. Three over-life-sized bronzes were cast and are located at the Bennington Battle Monument in Vermont, at Manchester City Hall in New Hampshire, and in Stark, New Hampshire. The statue pictured is the one in Bennington, and it stands on a natural rock with a plaque. We also created a statue of Stark’s wife, Molly.
